The Women Entrepreneurship Gap
Despite their significant contribution to the economy, women entrepreneurs in Canada continue to face persistent structural barriers that limit growth, credibility, access to capital, and industry presence; gaps the Chamber is intentionally designed to address.
Many women founders encounter limited access to structured business guidance, constrained capital and investor networks, restricted exposure to procurement and trade opportunities, and fragmented support systems that hinder sustainable scale.
WCBED bridges these gaps through institutionalized support, economic representation, and strategic collaboration; strengthening women’s participation and influence within the broader business ecosystem.

We aim to increase women’s participation in formal economies, strengthen women-owned businesses, support structured business creation and scale, facilitate strategic partnerships and market access, and contribute to sustainable economic development

It supports SME businesses, women-led manufacturers, service providers, and professionals transitioning from corporate or independent careers into entrepreneurship. The Chamber also welcomes investors and strategic partners committed to advancing and strengthening women-led ventures through capital, expertise, and collaboration.
